Volunteering keeps you mentally healthy
PVRC is a local Volunteer Centre that links volunteers to community, supports Volunteer Involving Organisations with Volunteer Management, and promotes the benefits of volunteering to the wider community.
Beyond simply matching people with organizations, the PVRC plays a vital role in promoting community well-being. By engaging in volunteering, individuals can boost their mental health through increased social connection, a greater sense of purpose, and a feeling of giving back to the community.
Peel Volunteer Resource Centre (PVRC) has been operating in the Peel Region since 1993, servicing an area encompassing the City of Mandurah, the Shires of Murray, Serpentine-Jarrahdale, Boddington and Waroona. We are located in Mandurah at Lotteries House, 7 Anzac Place in Mandurah.

The Peel Volunteer Resource Centre (PVRC) is dedicated to fostering strong communities by connecting people with fulfilling volunteer opportunities. Operating with the values of respect, inspire, and include, the PVRC offers various free services to help individuals find roles that align with their interests, thereby boosting mental health through social connection, a sense of purpose, and increased self-esteem.
In addition to its core referral services, the PVRC also runs specific programs like the Socialability Program, which supports individuals with disabilities and others facing barriers to volunteering, ensuring everyone has the chance to participate. The organization also supports member groups with training and celebrates the efforts of local volunteers through the annual Alcoa Peel Volunteer Awards. The PVRC’s work is made possible through funding from the Department of Social Services and the Department of Communities, in partnership with the City of Mandurah. PVRC have a monthly outreach to Pinjarra and Waroona through the Community Resource Centres.
PVRC receives Government Funding from the Department of Social Services and the Department of Communities and has a partnership agreement with the City of Mandurah.
